Pavement Preservation of Rt. 31, RT 173 to South Lincoln Avenue, NJDOT

(May 2020 – March 2021)

MAKS provided the construction inspection of the Pavement Preservation project to extend the service life on RT 31. The project scope included but was not limited to the construction inspection of pavement preservation by application of slurry seal aggregates and slurry seal emulsion surface course, micro-milling was done on approaches to bridge structures, on approaches to ramps and around drainage inlets; repair to deep defects with Hot Mix Asphalt, inlet filters installation and resetting, new inlet installation using existing castings, weigh-in-motion devices (WIM) installed, Line/marking removal, temporary striping, surface course and RPM removal, turf stabilization, topsoil stabilization, curbs, removal of traffic stripes, application of temporary Latex traffic stripes, application of permanent epoxy traffic stripes, rumble stripes and installed mono-directional, bi-directional RPM with the lens.
