Sign Structures Construction Inspection Services- Contract 2013 (NJDOT)

MAKS Provided construction inspection and construction management services as a Prime consultant for the sign structure replacement construction Contract No. SWI133470, Various Routes, City of Hackensack, Paterson and Newark and Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills, Counties of Bergen, Passaic, Morris, and Essex. The scope of the project involves the replacement of several sign structures (full span type and cantilever type) located on I-80, I-280, Route 19, and Route 17 throughout Morris, Essex, Passaic, and Bergen Counties in the state of New Jersey.

Existing overhead sign structures at various locations identified as in poor condition are being removed and replaced with new sign structures. MAKS Engineers provide inspection services for the replacement of sign structures, sign structures new foundations, sign panels, and all the detail connections, including but not limited to reconstruction and resetting of inlets using new casting, replaced concrete sidewalks, concrete island, installed concrete barrier curbs to protect sign structures posts, variable height concrete barrier curb, dowelled, 15" x 51" F shape concrete barrier curb, variable width x variable height F shape concrete barrier curb, concrete washouts, beam guide rail, beam guide rail dual-faced, modified thrie-beam guide rail, guide rail end terminals: tangent, telescopic types; approach guide rail transition TL-3, installation of RPM: mono-directional, bi-directional, white lens, amber lens, rumble strip, 3" rigid metallic conduits in sign structure foundations, lighting of sign structures, reconstruction of bituminous concrete pavement disturbed due to the foundation excavation activities.
